CHURCH RENO PROJECTS

THE PLAN

As discussed at the 2021 Annual Meeting, we would like to start a couple of much needed building enhancement projects. 

We have decided that we will not proceed until most or all of the money has been raised.

Both of these projects will require volunteers and we will keep you up to date when we plan to have workdays.

Below is an explanation of the 2 projects with the estimated cost.

Project 1

Exterior Building Enhancement - Estimated Cost: $4,800 - Actual Cost: $5,490.25

What was done:​

  • Scrapped  & painted ,exteriors window frames, door jams & rear door of the church building.

  • Removed damaged rotting wood at the ends of the building and replaced it with metal siding.

  • Replaced fascia and rotted subfascia, & painted new fascia.

  • Removed & replace eavestroughs and down spouts.

  • Repaired some of the parging and concrete foundation

The project started in September of 2021 & was completed August 21st of 2022.

​

Project 2:

Basement Makeover - The original estimate was $8,000.00, after great investigation the updated cost is now $14,496.53.

Tentative Start Date: Spring 2023

​

What is planned:

  • Remove walls and floor between the basement office and resource room and open up area to make more usable space.

  • Remove subfloor in kitchen and office area, and lay new flooring throughout basement.

  • Enlarge the second passthrough in kitchen.

  • Paint kitchen cabinets.

  • Replace kitchen countertops.

  • Install the dishwasher and a three bowl sink.

  • Replace basement lighting.

  • Paint the entire basement.
