GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Communication/emails:

We will not share emails with third parties.

Parents Have Rights and Responsibilities:

We value equipping parents with biblical truth and resources/tools to educate their own children in the area of gender, sexuality, and family.  When providing teaching on biblical sexuality to minors, parents will be asked to attend the sessions in advance. We value the definition of family as the God-ordained union between one biological man and one biological woman for life.

Communication with teens/children:

We believe in working with parents and youth together.    Therefore all communication to youth under the age of 18 will be done through the parents.  There will be no texting, or emails to youth under the age of 18.

Scripture Based and Holy Spirit-Empowered:

As a ministry based on Scripture, we strive to have all we do line up with the Bible.  We also value the leading of the Holy Spirit both in the preparation and provision of every ministry.

Servant Leadership:

We believe that servanthood is the basis of all that we do.  We serve with our gifts!

Gender/lifestyle Issues:

We believe in the biblical teaching of God’s original and ongoing design for humanity as two distinct sexes, male and female, determined by genetics. The basis and the intent for this is the conviction that the matter of human sexuality and gender is fundamental to biblical anthropology, not merely biblical morality. Due to human sin and brokenness, our experience of our sex and gender is not always that which God the Creator originally designed. In light of this foundational understanding of creation, fall, and redemption, we will avoid any behaviour or alignment with identity that contradicts the biblical teaching. We do not affirm the resolution of tension between one’s biological sex and one’s experience of gender by the adoption of an identity contradictory with one’s birth sex.

Prayer:

Prayer is absolutely essential to all our ministries.

Measuring Effectiveness:

The Pastors Council will meet monthly and quarterly with the core Leadership Team will meet monthly to conduct business, assess evaluations, interpret feedback from the congregation, and plan for the future.

Protection and Accountability For Adherents, Participants in Programs, Volunteers, and Financial Donors:

The names and contact information of adherents, participants in programs, volunteers, and Financial Donors, along with their contact information, are protected and not shared with any other organization.

Core Value Statements:

We do life better together. Hebrews 10:25NIV “not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

We cannot outgive God- Blessed to be a blessing.

Love God and love people. This is the Great Commandment

Saved people serve people- there is a ministry for you. Get involved.

Found people find people- evangelism. Great Commission.

Growing people change- we are committed to personal growth.  The power to change comes from the Holy Spirit as we surrender our will for God’s will. Ephesians 4:22-24 NIV  “ You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
